Creams versus Oils
Creams are not considered save option for our skin. The manufacturing process of a cream basically emulsifies and liquefy heavy metals with water. Then preservatives and other toxic chemicals are added. Moreover, creams cannot create a protective film on the skin because they are water-based and absorb too fast. Leaving the skin unprotected and eventually de-hydrated.
100% natural and organic oils are incomparably better. They were used by all ancient civilizations, by kings and beggars likewise. Oils were high priced commodity and often exchanged for goods and services. Rich ancient women used many oils and they were famed in ancient literature for their youthful, glowing and radiant skin. Most beneficial oils for our skin are olive, castor, coconut, jojoba, grapeseed, almond, borage and many more.
Natural oils are a rich source of essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Their composition is extremely similar to our skin’s naturally produced sebum. Especially, the olive oil is the closest match to our sebum. Sebum is responsible for skin’s rejuvenation and moisturizing processes. It is also responsible for the body’s protection from inside. Organic oils offer therapeutic effect, nourish the skin, lock the moisture in the skin and protect the skin from outside.
There are some misconceptions about the use of oils on oily skin. We know that some oils contain antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is proven that using specific oils on oily skin, regulate the sebum production, disinfects and allow the skin to breathe and heal from the existing condition and prevents further outbursts.
Cleaning with water, constant rubbing or scrubbing of the skin, polluting the skin with toxic chemicals are reasons why skin becomes exhausted, weak and prone to excessive oiliness, irritation, acne outbursts, and eczemas.
What is human skin and why what you put on your skin REALLY matters?
Skin is your largest body organ. It is the same living organ like your heart, lungs, liver, spleen or kidneys. Skin diseases are the fourth leading cause of disability worldwide (The Global Burden of Disease 2010 study).
An average adult’s skin spans 2 square meters, weighs 4 kg and contains 17,7 km of blood vessels. Dead skin accounts for about 1 billion tons of dust in the atmosphere. Your skin sheds 50.000 cells every minute. An average person will have lost 48 kg of skin per year.
Imagine you grab a chemical compound such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate and rub it on your heart. What do you think will happen? Our skin is no different. If you use cosmetic products that are packed with synthetic, laboratory-made toxic chemicals, your body will sooner or later give in. You can experience any disease, not necessarily skin disease. Our skin comprises of thousands of pores that absorb everything we apply on its surface and then distribute the product through the blood vessels into body cells. Once body cells are contaminated, they cannot function healthy, creating anomalies to any body organ, tissue or muscle.
